Frequently Asked Questions

My organization needs to screen our employees & vendors against the HHS OIG List of Excluded Individuals and Entities (LEIE) and the GSA System for Award Management (SAM) exclusion/debarment lists on a monthly basis. Can Verify Comply™ handle this?

Yes! This is exactly what a Portal Pro™ subscription is designed to do. We also include many other exclusion lists! Here's the complete listing: Verify Comply™ Exclusion Lists.

I'm trying to figure out what my organization needs to be in compliance. Can you help?

Yes! If you'd like to learn about exclusion, the search process, and the services available to help, you'll likely find our page about OIG exclusion list checks very helpful.

What payment methods do you accept?

For automated monthly billing, we require Credit Card or eCheck. However, we will accommodate a traditional invoice/check arrangement with an annual billing of the Portal Pro™ subscription service. If you prefer an annual invoice, please contact us and we’ll get your account set up.

Is there software to download? How quickly will I have access?

The Free Portal™ and Portal Pro™ are web-based software services that require no special software to use, and both services are available immediately after completing registration. The LogIn button is available in the navigation bar at the top of our website.

Am I charged by the number of searches or "hits"?

No. Portal Pro™ is an all-inclusive flat fee.

Do I have to re-validate every "hit" each scan?

Nope! Portal Pro™ is designed with ease of use in mind. Once your lists of employees/vendors are in Verify Comply™ and the validations are completed, only new "hits" are flagged for review.

I have thousands of employees. Is it easy to update the lists?

Yes! While lists can be edited manually, most large companies use the merge function available in Portal Pro™ to synchronize the data. With merge, all you do is upload a fresh spreadsheet and it adds/removes employees from your Portal Pro™ list. It's super fast & easy!

Which exclusion lists are included?

All of our services – even the Free Portal™ – include Federal AND State exclusion lists. For a detailed listing of the data sources, please check the Verify Comply™ Exclusion Lists. Only want to monitor a few specific lists? No problem – settings available in Portal Pro™ and the Free Portal™ allow you to choose which exclusion lists to include in your scans.

How often is Verify Comply's exclusion database updated?

Daily, in most cases.

May I have multiple users?

Sure! Portal Pro™ permits up to five users and enables the administration of role-based account permissions. If you have a need that requires more than five users, additional user licenses can be purchased.

How many lists may I upload for monitoring?

By default, a Portal Pro™ subscription includes two list licenses. Additional list licenses can be purchased.

Is there a limit on the number of searches I can perform?

No

Are exclusion searches really necessary?

Don’t take our word for it, here’s the official OIG video. Although this video only addresses federal exclusion, most state Medicaid agencies also have similar policies.

How often should I scan my employees and vendors?

Monthly. A recent Office of the Inspector General (OIG) Special Advisory Bulletin recommends screening monthly, and it is evident in recent Corporate Integrity Agreements issued by the OIG. Many Medicare Advantage plans also require monthly screening of First Tier, Downstream, and Related Entities (FDRs).
